Description
This program, managed by the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture, reimburses very small meat and poultry processors for eligible costs associated with opening new facilities, expanding existing operations, or obtaining USDA Food Safety Inspection Service (FSIS) inspections. The goal is to boost local processing capacity, support Pennsylvania livestock and poultry producers, and expand the availability of Pennsylvania-produced meat and poultry products. Eligible expenses include consulting, technical support, professional training, and up to 85% of equipment purchases directly related to meat and poultry processing and employee safety.
