The Vascular & Endovascular Surgery Society (VESS) Resident Research Award in Health Services Research helps residents in training initiate projects during protected academic development time. The program’s goal is to develop residents’ academic potential and support work that can lead to future extramural funding for health services research.
The award connects a proposed research project with an academic development plan and the involvement of a VESS Active Member as a dedicated research mentor, sponsor, or collaborative investigator. Funding supports direct research costs, with limited support for travel to present findings. Recipients must complete the research, report its findings and use of funds, and present their report at a subsequent VESS Annual Winter Meeting.
