Pennsylvania’s Department of Labor & Industry (L&I) administers this competitive grant to increase veteran employment in Delaware County. The program supports outreach to veterans, including veterans with disabilities, and eligible spouses; customized career-readiness and skills development; access to clinical and supportive services; and collaboration with local employers. Its goals include long-term job retention, career advancement, and greater economic stability for veterans and their families.
Supported work includes individualized job-search assistance, resume and interview preparation, career exploration, digital literacy, occupational skills training, and apprenticeship readiness. Projects may also support employment-related education and credentials, transportation, childcare, work attire, tools, and required employment screenings. The initiative advances Pennsylvania’s priorities for reducing employment barriers and expanding access to stable, family-sustaining civilian careers while meeting Delaware County’s workforce needs.
