Description
The Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation (WEDC) runs the Vibrant Spaces Grant as part of its Community Development Investment Grant Program. It helps Wisconsin communities create or improve public gathering places that foster connections, enhance quality of life, and make communities more attractive places to live and work.
Funding supports site-specific improvements that activate commercial corridors, such as programmable plazas and parks, public art, lighting, signage, seasonal equipment, and infrastructure serving public spaces. Projects should create spaces for multiple user groups and activities, increase site use and visitor traffic, and benefit nearby businesses.
