Description
The Massachusetts Office of Grants and Research (OGR) administers this competitive federal STOP (Services, Training, Officers, and Prosecutors) Violence Against Women Act grant on behalf of the U.S. Department of Justice’s Office on Violence Against Women. It supports projects that improve victim protection and services, strengthen communities’ ability to deliver justice, and hold offenders accountable.
Projects may address victim services and legal assistance, law enforcement and court responses, prosecution, training, and services for underserved populations. The program encourages coordination among state, local, and tribal partners, including victim advocates, criminal justice agencies, and community-based organizations. Its eligible purpose areas also include services for victims of all ages and responses to sexual assault in correctional and detention settings.
