Description
The Federal S.T.O.P. Violence Against Women Act grant supports communities working to strengthen law enforcement and prosecution strategies, victim services, and coordinated responses to domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, and stalking. The Kansas Governor’s Grants Program (KGGP) administers the funding from the U.S. Department of Justice’s Office on Violence Against Women.
Projects may address eligible federal purpose areas, including training, justice-system policies and coordination, victim services and legal assistance, sexual assault response, and services for underserved populations. Applicants must connect their proposed work to the 2026–2029 Kansas Implementation Plan. Awards favor communities that demonstrate collaboration among criminal justice agencies and victim-service providers to meet victims’ needs and hold offenders accountable.
