Virginia Touring Grants support Virginia presenters hosting rostered artists and ensembles, helping bring performances to communities beyond the artists’ home bases and reach new audiences across the state.

Description
Virginia Touring Grants are run by the Virginia Commission for the Arts to expand access to high-quality performances across the Commonwealth. The program reimburses eligible Virginia presenters for part of the fee to present an artist or ensemble from the VCA Touring Artist Roster. Performances must take place in Virginia at least 30 miles from the artist’s or ensemble’s home base.
The roster includes artists across performing arts disciplines and describes their touring programs. Presenters book directly with artists; the Commission does not act as a booking agent. By supporting in-state touring, the program helps artists reach new audiences and brings performances to more Virginia communities.
