The Vision & Call Internship Program, established by the M.J. Murdock Charitable Trust, is designed to equip young adults (typically ages 20–25) to explore their vocational direction through meaningful, mentored apprenticeships in faith-based organizations. The program’s threefold purpose is to provide transformative experiences for young adults, increase the pool of emerging leaders in the workforce, and encourage Christian organizations to invest in leadership development. Participating organizations implement internships that emphasize careful selection, experienced mentorship, apprenticeship-style learning, intentional vocational conversations, significant organizational work, and integration into a broader leadership movement. Funding is provided on a cost-sharing basis for up to six years, with the expectation that organizations will sustain the program beyond the Trust’s initial support.
