Description
The program provides grants to TK-12 grade teachers at eligible low-income public schools in select Bay Area counties to bring professional visual or material artists (including art historians) into the classroom. The grant covers the artist’s time and classroom materials, enabling students to participate in hands-on, creative learning experiences that enhance and complement the curriculum. The initiative aims to foster inspiration, artistic engagement, and exposure to new art forms by connecting students with practicing artists such as painters, sculptors, wood carvers, and weavers.
