Description
JILA’s competitively awarded Visiting Fellows program supports internationally prominent scientists undertaking strongly collaborative visits with its researchers. JILA is operated jointly by the University of Colorado Boulder and the National Institute of Standards and Technology. The program aims to strengthen scientific interactions and bring value to JILA’s research programs through sustained time at the institute.
Visitors are encouraged to work with multiple JILA research groups and to give a general colloquium early in their stay, accessible across JILA’s research interests. Proposals are assessed in part on their overlap with research underway at the institute. JILA spreads visits throughout the year to increase opportunities for interaction with its Fellows.
