Description
The Society for Surgery of the Alimentary Tract (SSAT) sponsors this program to help mid-level faculty increase their visibility and name recognition through visiting Grand Rounds professorships. Participants present on their areas of expertise and network with colleagues at participating academic institutions across the United States.
SSAT reviews applications using an independent scoring rubric and matches selected recipients with host institutions. Each host determines the timing of the Grand Rounds presentation and the arrangements for the visiting professorship. The program provides a combined honorarium and travel reimbursement package, and recipients share their experiences with SSAT’s Member Services Committee through a detailed report.
