Description
Corpus Christi College, Cambridge offers Visiting Professorships for senior academics—typically at least Readers or Associate Professors—on sabbatical leave from their permanent positions at non-Cambridge universities. The program is designed for those wishing to conduct research at the University of Cambridge or a recognised research establishment in Cambridge for one academic term. Visiting Professors receive temporary senior membership of the College, generous dining privileges at High Table, and are encouraged to participate in the intellectual and social life of the College.
Visiting Professors are expected to deliver a lecture or presentation on their research to a graduate audience and contribute a short write-up for the College’s annual alumni magazine. The position is non-stipendiary, but accommodation may be available (at reasonable rates) depending on availability. Most Visiting Professors arrange their own accommodation, often through the University Accommodation Service.
