Description
This scheme enables UK higher education institutions to invite distinguished senior professors from overseas to share unique expertise and enrich the skills and knowledge of academic staff and students, particularly in underrepresented areas of research. The grant prioritizes new or recent collaborations and encourages a diverse range of activities beyond research, with an emphasis on the diffusion of skills and expertise not otherwise available within the UK. Visiting Professors are expected to engage with the host institution through a structured program, including delivering Leverhulme Lectures, and to make a substantial contribution to the host’s academic environment.
