Description
The Visiting Research Fellowships at the Institute for Advanced Studies in the Humanities (IASH), University of Edinburgh, offer established scholars the opportunity to conduct research in a collaborative and interdisciplinary environment. Since 1970, these fellowships have supported academics in the Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences, providing access to a vibrant scholarly community, private office space, and full research facilities in a historic setting adjacent to the University Library.
Fellows are expected to engage fully with Institute activities, deliver at least one seminar on their research, and foster academic links with colleagues in the College of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences. The program particularly encourages applications that promote international collaboration, especially from scholars in the Nordic and Baltic regions. While the fellowship does not include direct funding or a stipend, IASH supports successful applicants in seeking external funding if needed.
