The Russell Sage Foundation’s Visiting Researchers program provides short-term, in-residence fellowships (up to 5 months, occasionally up to 10) for scholars several years past the PhD who are working on research relevant to the Foundation’s core program areas. While in residence at the Foundation’s New York City office, Visiting Researchers receive office space, computer and library access, and may be eligible for partially subsidized housing if coming from outside the NYC area. The program is designed to foster interdisciplinary dialogue and collaboration among social scientists, journalists, and RSF staff through seminars, lunch discussions, and informal interactions. Fellows are expected to spend the majority of their time at RSF, actively participating in the intellectual community.
