Description

The Parkinson's Foundation Visiting Scholar Awards provide funding for graduate students (PhD, second year or later) and postdoctoral fellows engaged in Parkinson's disease research to spend a minimum of ten weeks in a host laboratory. The program is designed to foster cross-institutional collaboration and skill-building by enabling scholars to learn a new research technique that directly benefits their ongoing Parkinson's research under the guidance of an experienced principal investigator at a different institution. The host lab does not need to be focused on Parkinson's research, but the technique learned must be applied to the applicant’s current Parkinson's project. This award aims to ensure that the future of Parkinson's research remains multidisciplinary, innovative, and collaborative.
