The Russell Sage Foundation’s Visiting Scholars Program offers residential fellowships to support data analysis and writing projects in the social, economic, political, and behavioral sciences. Scholars spend either a full academic year (September–June) or a half-year in residence at the Foundation’s headquarters in New York City, engaging with an interdisciplinary community of fellows, journalists, and staff. The program emphasizes collaboration, intellectual exchange, and research that advances the Foundation’s mission to improve social and living conditions in the United States. Office space, research resources, and, for those outside NYC, subsidized housing are provided. Childcare subsidies are available for children under 13.
