The Russell Sage Foundation’s Visiting Scholars Program offers a prestigious residential fellowship for scholars in the social, economic, political, and behavioral sciences to advance research and writing at the Foundation’s headquarters in New York City. Each year, 15–17 fellowships are awarded to support projects aligned with RSF’s core programs and special initiatives focused on improving social and living conditions in the United States. The program fosters interdisciplinary collaboration, providing office space, research resources, and opportunities to engage with peers and RSF staff. Fellows are expected to participate actively in the intellectual life of the Foundation and to be present for at least 75% of RSF’s open days. Both individual and working group applications are accepted.
