Description
Rochester Area Community Foundation’s Arts Education program strengthens local arts organizations’ capacity to deliver PreK–12 programming connected to schools and community groups. Part of its Arts and Culture Action Area, the program seeks to expand equitable access across the region so students can experience vibrant, diverse arts offerings regardless of their location or circumstances.
Grants provide flexible support for capacity building, operations, and programming across disciplines, including visual arts, music, dance, and performance. Supported needs include materials and supplies, transportation, childcare, food assistance, participant retention, and professional development for staff and teaching artists. The program emphasizes increased arts access, geographic equity, and students’ engagement, enjoyment, and passion for the arts.
