Description
The Von Neumann Fellowships, administered by the School of Mathematics at the Institute for Advanced Study (IAS), provide distinguished mid-career mathematicians and theoretical computer scientists with the opportunity to pursue independent research in a vibrant, interdisciplinary academic environment. Fellows are appointed as Members of the IAS School of Mathematics for residencies ranging from two to eleven months and benefit from comprehensive institutional resources, including on-campus housing. The program is structured to allow recipients to focus exclusively on research—free from teaching or administrative duties—while actively engaging in the intellectual life of the Institute and mentoring postdoctoral researchers.
