Description
Vermont Pollution Control Grants support municipal water pollution abatement and control projects through the Vermont Agency of Natural Resources and its Department of Environmental Conservation. Authorized under Vermont statute, the program covers equipment, conveyances, and structural or nonstructural facilities needed for the prevention, management, treatment, storage, or disposal of stormwater, sewage, or waste.
The program’s scope includes wastewater treatment facilities, combined sewer separation facilities, indirect discharge systems, and wastewater systems. Groundwater protection projects and flood resiliency work related to a structural facility also qualify. Grant percentages depend on project type and eligible costs, technical and affordability points under the Priority System, legislative funding availability, and project ranking within the fundable range.
