Description
The Wall Research Awards, funded by the Peter Wall Legacy Fund, provide substantial support to graduate students at the University of British Columbia (UBC) whose thesis or dissertation research addresses sustainable development of urban environments, environmental protection of oceans, beaches, and waterfronts, or sustainable approaches to resource-intensive industries. While the primary focus is on research relevant to British Columbia, projects applicable to other Canadian or international contexts are also eligible. The awards aim to enable advanced Master’s and PhD students to complete impactful research that tackles key environmental and sustainability challenges.
