Description
The Wallace Fellowship at Villa I Tatti, The Harvard University Center for Italian Renaissance Studies, is designed for scholars investigating the historiography and influence of the Italian Renaissance in the modern era (19th–21st centuries). Funded by The Lila Wallace – Reader’s Digest Fund, the fellowship supports projects that examine the transformation, reception, and commentary on the Italian Renaissance, as well as its connections to modernity in fields such as art, architecture, literature, music, philosophy, and political thought. Fellows benefit from dedicated research time, access to the exceptional Biblioteca Berenson, and participation in a vibrant intellectual community in Florence. Select activities and events are organized to foster engagement and collaboration among fellows.
