Description
The WALTHAM Foundation is a non-charitable research funding mechanism through which Mars Petcare supports companion animal science. Its grants fund discrete research projects that advance understanding of pets and contribute to Mars Petcare’s purpose of “A BETTER WORLD FOR PETS.” The foundation works with scientific and academic organisations globally to generate and share knowledge.
The 2025–2026 call prioritised projects led by researchers in emerging and developing economies and projects studying underserved or under-researched companion animal populations anywhere in the world. Research may address nutrition, health, behaviour, development or welfare. Researchers at early career stages are welcome, and funded findings are expected to be published or presented through scientific channels.
