Description
This joint fellowship, offered by Villa I Tatti (Harvard University Center for Italian Renaissance Studies) and the Warburg Institute (School of Advanced Study, University of London), provides early and mid-career scholars with a unique opportunity to pursue advanced research on topics related to the history of science, knowledge, and technology in early modern Italy. The fellowship is structured as a residential experience, with the fall term spent at the Warburg Institute in London and the spring term at Villa I Tatti in Florence. Fellows benefit from access to world-class libraries, archives, and scholarly communities at both institutions.
The program encourages interdisciplinary and transnational projects, particularly those exploring the circulation of ideas, objects, and people during the Renaissance, as well as the historiography and global impact of the Italian Renaissance.
