Description
The Washington State Department of Ecology combines state and federal water-quality grants and loans into one application, competitive review, and funding offer list. The program funds planning, design, construction, and implementation across Washington.
Eligible work includes wastewater collection and treatment, combined sewer overflow and reclaimed-water facilities; stormwater flow control, treatment, source control, and enhanced maintenance; and onsite sewage systems and local repair-and-replacement loan programs. Nonpoint projects can include restoration, agricultural practices, planning, and outreach, but must implement an element of a state or local water-quality-focused plan. Ecology provides technical assistance to applicants navigating the funding process.
