Description
The Waterbury Black Giving Circle, managed in partnership with the Connecticut Community Foundation, is a collective philanthropy initiative designed to support Black-led nonprofits and community projects in Waterbury, Connecticut. By pooling resources from members, the Circle advances economic opportunity, cultural vibrancy, and community resilience for Waterbury’s Black residents. Funding is directed to organizations and programs that address urgent community needs, build infrastructure, and foster leadership and peer learning within the Black community. The Circle also provides scholarships to outstanding African American high school graduates and sponsors community events such as Juneteenth celebrations.
