Description
The Watershed Assistance Grant Program, administered by the Chesapeake Bay Trust in partnership with state and regional agencies, provides funding for the design, permitting, and planning of watershed restoration projects. The program aims to advance local and regional efforts to improve water quality by supporting the earliest phases of restoration—enabling organizations to develop actionable designs, plans, and strategies that position them for successful future implementation and funding. Eligible projects include green infrastructure design, stream and wetland restoration, watershed assessments, action plans, and capacity-building initiatives. The program welcomes applications from both experienced and first-time applicants, including local governments and nonprofit organizations.
