Description
The Wausau & Marathon County Parks & Recreation Foundation Grants support improvements to recreational resources and activities in Wausau and Marathon County, Wisconsin. The program draws on the Parks & Recreation Foundation Fund, established within the Community Foundation of North Central Wisconsin in 1990 to secure and broaden resources for local parks and recreation.
Grant requests are considered according to how they advance that purpose. The program serves nonprofit organizations working to improve the area's recreational resources and the activities they support. The Parks Foundation board of directors meets every two months to review applications and awards grants through the Community Foundation.
