Description
This program provides state grants to assist Colorado water providers, local governments, and their fiscal agents in funding ground-based, wintertime operational cloud seeding programs. The goal is to help local water users implement and modernize well-designed cloud seeding operations, including the adoption of new technologies, maximizing permit utilization, acquiring or leasing equipment, and evaluating program effectiveness. Administered by the Colorado Water Conservation Board (CWCB), the program is an integral part of Colorado's water management strategy, supporting snowpack augmentation and water supply reliability.
