Description
Harvard University’s Weatherhead Center for International Affairs supports analytical research in the social sciences within the Faculty of Arts and Sciences and related disciplines in Harvard’s professional schools. Eligible projects address international, transnational, global, or comparative national issues. Research may examine contemporary or historical topics, rigorous policy analysis, or specific countries and regions outside the United States.
Support includes discretionary and early-stage research grants, preparation of major external funding proposals, faculty conferences and seminars, book manuscript conferences, and research leaves. The Center seeks to generate new ideas, encourage discussion within and across disciplines, and foster a research community among its affiliated faculty across Harvard. Its faculty opportunities page also lists Canada Program funding and the Weatherhead Scholars Program for visiting scholars, postdoctoral researchers, and experienced practitioners.
