Description
The Weatherization Assistance Program is administered by Kansas Housing Resources Corporation (KHRC) and delivers home energy audits and weatherization services through a statewide network of local providers. It helps homes retain heat and air conditioning while keeping unwanted hot and cold air outside, reducing energy costs for low-income families, particularly older adults, people with disabilities, and children.
Eligible households receive a comprehensive home energy audit identifying energy inefficiencies and health and safety concerns. Certified energy auditors, professional crews, and contractors provide services and upgrades at no charge. The audit provides the foundation for the work performed.
