The Weatherization Assistance Program, administered by the Kansas Housing Resources Corporation (KHRC), helps income-eligible Kansas residents make their homes more energy efficient and lower their utility bills. Through a statewide network of certified energy auditors and professional crews, eligible households receive a comprehensive home energy audit to identify inefficiencies and health or safety concerns. All recommended energy efficiency improvements—such as insulation, air sealing, and related repairs—are delivered at no cost to the participant. The program is designed to ensure that homes retain heating and cooling more effectively, directly reducing utility expenses and improving living conditions.
