Description
West Hawaiʻi Community Grants are administered by Hawaiʻi Community Foundation (HCF) through the West Hawaiʻi Fund. The fund provides a permanent resource for addressing current and emerging needs of residents on the west side of Hawaiʻi Island. It invests in nonprofit programs that respond to local priorities, strengthen communities, and promote long-term community well-being, building on a legacy of partnerships, community involvement, and charitable giving.
Beginning with the 2026 application cycle, the program transitioned to a two-year grant structure. Developed in response to feedback from nonprofit partners and community advisors, this approach is intended to provide more predictable support, enable longer-term planning, reduce administrative burden, and strengthen partnerships and sustained community impact.
