    Description

The Western Reserve Health Foundation, through the Community Foundation of the Mahoning Valley (CFMV), funds general operations and specific programs or projects that improve the health and well-being of all Mahoning County residents. Its 2026–2028 priorities follow the Mahoning-Trumbull Community Health Improvement Plan (CHIP), with support also available for cancer care and pediatric care.

The Foundation emphasizes equitable health outcomes, recognizing that barriers differ across populations and communities. It considers both what organizations do and how they work, including who leads planning and implementation. Strong proposals define success, involve people with direct experience, engage cross-sector partners, and address underlying social and economic challenges. Additional priority goes to work connected to Healthy Community Partnership action teams or aligned with the initiative’s shared vision and goals.
