Description
The Wild and Scenic Rivers Fund, administered by the Colorado Water Conservation Board (CWCB), provides financial support for stakeholder groups and projects that develop cooperative, locally-driven protections for Colorado’s river-dependent outstandingly remarkable values (ORVs). The intent is to offer alternatives to federal Wild and Scenic River designation, enabling Colorado to safeguard vital river resources while maintaining full use of its water entitlements. Eligible projects range from stakeholder group capacity building to planning, studies, and on-the-ground implementation activities that protect, restore, or enhance river values.
