Description
The Iowa Department of Natural Resources’ Wildlife Diversity Program offers small grants to support research and education projects that directly contribute to the conservation of Iowa’s non-game wildlife. The program aims to advance stewardship, inventory, monitoring, and public engagement for the benefit of native wildlife species not managed through hunting, fishing, or trapping. Funding is provided primarily through public donations, including the Chickadee Checkoff and Natural Resources License Plate funds. Projects may include scientific research, educational programming, species monitoring, or the development of educational infrastructure in Iowa.
