Description
The Wildlife Education Grant Program is administered by the Arkansas Economic Development Commission’s Division of Rural Services in partnership with the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission (AGFC). It turns fines from fish and wildlife law violations into conservation education grants for the Arkansas counties where the fines were collected.
Grants support classroom and outdoor learning about fish, wildlife, and conservation. Eligible work includes field trips to AGFC nature centers, hatcheries, and wildlife management areas; archery and shooting sports programs; educator workshops; schoolyard habitats; outdoor classroom supplies; and conservation education materials. The program also supports activities such as Fishing in the Natural State and Arkansas Stream Team.
