Description
The Wyoming Wildlife and Natural Resource Trust funds conservation projects with a public benefit in Wyoming. Its nine-member citizen board supports work to maintain or improve terrestrial wildlife and aquatic fish habitat, preserve open space through development rights, and protect crucial habitat. Funding may also support planning, development, and monitoring programs at the board’s discretion.
Eligible work includes water and watershed enhancements that benefit wildlife, efforts to address impacts from residential, mineral, or industrial development, and projects that reduce conflicts or disease transmission between wildlife and domestic livestock. Public benefits may include healthier ecosystems, continued agricultural production that maintains open space, improved outdoor recreation, and better air, land, or water quality.
