The William E. Mitch, III, MD, FASN, International Scholars Travel Support program is designed to enhance the training and professional development of nephrology fellows in Central America, South America, the Caribbean, and Mexico by providing free ASN membership for up to two years and travel support to attend the ASN Kidney Week Annual Meeting. The program also offers similar support to fellows from US and Canadian ACGME-accredited nephrology training programs who have faced personal or family hardships. Established in 2012, the program aims to develop the next generation of nephrologists and expand access to ASN’s educational and networking opportunities throughout the Americas.
