The William G. Baker, Jr. Memorial Fund, administered by the Baltimore Community Foundation (BCF), supports arts and culture benefiting residents of the greater Baltimore area. Mary S. Baker established the fund in 1964 in memory of her husband, William G. Baker, Jr. Its grants continue the founders’ civic-minded philanthropic tradition, focusing on the benefits that cultural work brings to communities in Baltimore City and Baltimore County.
Within this community-focused approach, BCF encourages proposals that clearly describe the need being addressed, the population served, the intended impact, and how success will be measured. Eligible organizations may be headquartered outside the region, provided their programs serve Baltimore City or County residents.
