Description
The William L. Boyd, IV, Effective Access to Student Education (EASE) Program provides tuition assistance to Florida residents pursuing their first baccalaureate degree at eligible independent, nonprofit colleges and universities in Florida. Administered by the Florida Department of Education's Office of Student Financial Assistance (OSFA), the program offsets private postsecondary tuition and is not based on financial need. Participating institutions determine application procedures, deadlines, student eligibility, and awards within state requirements.
EASE Plus provides an additional stipend for students taking upper-level courses in quality, high-demand programs: Teaching, Nursing, Allied Health, Agriculture/Veterinary Science, Cyber Security, and Digital Arts/Computer Graphics. The Legislature sets annual award limits through the General Appropriations Act, and institutions disburse assistance each eligible term.
