The William R. Tyler Fellowships at Dumbarton Oaks provide advanced Harvard graduate students with a unique two-year opportunity to deepen research and professional skills in Pre-Columbian, Byzantine, or Garden and Landscape Studies, or closely related fields. The first academic year requires full-time residence in Washington, DC, with engagement in an institutional project under staff mentorship, while the second year offers flexibility for dissertation research, including travel and continued access to Dumbarton Oaks resources.
