Description
This program, administered by NYSERDA, aims to accelerate the market adoption of cold-climate packaged window heat pumps (PWHPs) as a scalable electrification retrofit solution for multifamily buildings in New York State. The initiative builds on pilot results from the NYCHA Clean Heat for All program and seeks to generate robust real-world data on PWHP effectiveness, durability, cost impact, and user satisfaction. Phase II focuses on providing incentives for installation and performance monitoring of approved PWHPs in eligible buildings, with the ultimate goal of supporting broader market transformation and future eligibility in statewide clean energy programs.
