Description
The Wisconsin Department of Tourism’s Tourist Information Center (TIC) Grant Program helps nonprofit tourism organizations, municipalities and Native American tribes operate regional centers that serve travelers. Centers provide information about cultural and recreational attractions and other tourism businesses, both locally and across Wisconsin. By directing visitors to places to explore, the program aims to increase travel and economic activity in the region and state.
The grant reimburses eligible costs of serving visitors, including center staffing, wayfinding signage and standard display equipment. The program emphasizes accessible stopping points, trained staff, statewide travel publications and visitor counts that show the reach of a center’s services.
