Description
Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity’s Wise Practices in Indigenous Leadership program helps participants strengthen and balance cultural and contemporary leadership competencies. This in-person learning experience centers Indigenous wisdom, identity, knowledge, and cultural values, with the goal of bringing the Indigenous wise practices leadership model into participants’ roles and organizations. Limited financial assistance helps eligible participants cover program fees.
Guided by Elders and faculty, participants move from theory into action through land-based learning, research and case studies, arts, cultural teachings, and community dialogue. Topics include transformational change, living systems thinking, deep listening and storytelling, values-based leadership, and collaboration and partnerships. The program combines personal and professional reflection with practical leadership challenges to help participants envision change in their communities and organizations.
