Description
The Women Chemists Committee Rising Star Award, sponsored by the American Chemical Society’s Committee on Women Chemists, recognizes up to 10 outstanding individuals approaching mid-level careers who demonstrate exceptional promise for contributions to their fields. It recognizes accomplishments in chemistry and chemical engineering rather than funding a specific research project.
Recipients have the opportunity to present their contributions at a WCC-sponsored symposium at the ACS Spring Meeting. The symposium highlights recipients’ current work and ideas, enables scientific exchange, and connects them with other researchers and practitioners. The award also supports meeting travel and provides visibility through recognition at the WCC “Just Cocktails” reception and WCC Luncheon.
