Description
Women for Women is a collective-giving initiative of the Community Foundation of Western North Carolina. Through grants, advocacy and women’s philanthropy, it seeks to improve the lives of women and girls and build a region of shared prosperity and belonging. Its grantmaking emphasizes equitable opportunities for all who identify as women and girls, including work to reduce inequities, confront racial and other biases, and dismantle discriminatory systems.
For the 2025–26 cycle, the funding focus was economic stability after Hurricane Helene through access to safe, affordable housing; quality, affordable childcare; and affordable, nutritious food. The 2026 grants were unrestricted general operating support, rather than funding designated for specific projects.
