Description
The Émilie Du Châtelet Award, offered annually by the American Society for Eighteenth-Century Studies (ASECS) Women’s Caucus, recognizes and supports research in progress by independent or adjunct scholars focused on feminist or Women’s Studies topics related to eighteenth-century culture. The award is designed to encourage projects that advance the understanding of women’s experiences or contributions to eighteenth-century society, or that provide feminist analysis of any aspect of eighteenth-century culture. The funding is intended for projects already underway and commensurate with a scholarly article or book chapter.
