The Women’s Caucus Prize for Innovative Scholarship in Gender and Jewish Studies honors groundbreaking work that significantly advances Jewish feminist and gender studies. The prize is awarded to a paper presented at the most recent Association for Jewish Studies (AJS) Annual Meeting, recognizing scholarship that opens new avenues of inquiry or demonstrates innovation in areas such as Jewish gender studies, Jewish feminist studies, and queer, trans, and sexuality studies in Jewish contexts. The award aims to foster engagement with current theoretical developments in feminist, gender, queer, and trans theory as they relate to Jewish Studies.
