Description
The Women’s Fund, administered by the Community Foundation for San Benito County, supports nonprofit work that advances the status of women and girls in San Benito County. It is the community’s first full-spectrum fund dedicated to women and girls, addressing a broad range of issues rather than a single need. The published grant guidelines identify mental health, poverty prevention, and domestic violence prevention as funding focus areas.
The fund’s mission is to empower women through education, resources, and funding to achieve equity, self-sufficiency, and well-being. Alongside grant support, it promotes leadership opportunities and a community where women have a respected, influential, and equitable voice. Its guiding values include creating a legacy of empowerment, sensitivity to gender and inclusivity, education, openness to new ideas, and raising the fund’s visibility.
