Description
The Women’s Giving Circle is a component fund of the Community Foundation for the Ohio Valley (CFOV). It supports projects addressing the needs of women and girls across eight counties in West Virginia and Ohio. Its priorities include increasing life skills through pre-K through grade 12 education, economic empowerment, physical and mental health, and work addressing violence and crime.
The circle also supports projects that encourage young girls’ healthy development and personal authority or raise awareness of gender disparities in the community. Funding focuses on specific projects rather than general organizational support. An Advisory Committee composed of Women’s Giving Circle members reviews applications and makes funding determinations.
